Position Summary
The Talent Development Consultant works with leaders throughout the organization--including clinical and non-clinical departmental leaders--to develop their skills so they may become even more effective at leading and influencing others. Responsibilities include conducting needs analyses, designing, facilitating, supporting, and evaluating departmental and organization-wide initiatives, workshops, and programs aligned with strategic needs. May develop and/or support programs for employees at various stages of the talent lifecycle, which could include onboarding/orientation, professional development, culture, employee engagement, team building, performance management, change management, recognition, and retention efforts.
Position Duties
- Partners and consults with subject matter experts, HR Divisional Directors, and other key stakeholders to improve leader, team, and organizational performance and effectiveness through the development and deployment of interventions, solutions, and initiatives.
- Designs and facilitates programs that incorporate adult learning theory principles, uses coaching expertise to develop others, and follows up on leaders’ progress.
- Uses technological solutions (e.g., Learning Management System, Zoom, in-class/separate survey platforms, course-authoring programs, etc.) to develop, support, track, and evaluate in-person, virtual and digital learning initiatives.
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and models Phoenix Children`s Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and outcomes of programs, shares results with Innovation & Learning team, and makes recommendations for continued improvement.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Phoenix Children`s Code of Conduct; and other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

Position Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in health care, business, adult education, or related field. Required
- Masters degree in business, adult education, or related field. Preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in health care. Preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience. Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience coaching and/or teaching adult learners. Required
Special Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with facilitation, adult learning styles and practices, instructional design, group dynamics, and interactive learning methods. Required
- Exceptional written, oral, and positive influential interpersonal and communication skills. Required
- Previous experience in health care, with ability to understand both clinical and non-clinical terms. Preferred
- Ability to take initiative and work independently. Must be adaptable to change and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and balance competing priorities. Required
- Must be outgoing, results oriented, and have the ability to work well within a team. Required
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products, Learning Management Systems, and Zoom. Required
- Proficient in use of survey design and platforms as well as course-authoring technologies. Preferred
